Born and raised resident of the Washington DC Area, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, from NC Wesleyan College, Monique established in 2006 Sweet Spirit Cakes has as a cake baking and custom decorative cake business. Through the years Monique has participated in the National Capital Area Cake Show, Cupcake Challenge 2013 and 2014.
Developing a supportive clientele over the years including, customer’s began to request for Candy Treat Buffets with various sweet treat items. Therefore, it became official to expand the menu adding decorative cookies, chocolate dipped pretzels, and cake push up pops. This also sparked the desire for Monique to expand her knowledge and enroll in Stratford University’s Baking & Pastry Associate Degree Program in 2015.
Therefore, the desire to evolve into a Dessert Catering Company, expanding service options to its customers.
